ary changes in this case were most marked; no specific history. The patient died in spite of all treatment. Ramprohite, cet. 39, a resident of Doyahatta, placed himself under treatment for looseness aud vomiting after food. There was marked ancemia and slight fever ; albumen in his water and granular casts under the microscope ; medicines proved ineffectual. Peptonizing powder did him slight good for a few days. The poor man died. Gungahishun, cat. 25, a respectable gentleman, consulted me for a change of color around the eyes (he being of fair complexion), occasional vomiting of food and general debility. I advised him to try Kepler's Ext. of Malt and Lactlopeptine ; he returned to me in two weeks, very much reduced in health; the discoloration of the skin has slightly increased. His appetite has not improved, and during the short space of 15 days he vomited 11 times. I examined him most carefully, and could not detect any organic lesion. I prescribed for him nitromuriatic acid with nux vomica and gentian. This seemed to improve his appetite for two or three
